But it is when an artist can take all of this and add even more to it to make it memorable and even sometimes controversial he or she is considered a great artist. Perhaps one of the most misunderstood rap, along with hip hop artist of the 20th century is the late Tupac Shakure. ... Tupac has released around 15 albums and an uncountable amount of underground tracks. I have chosen to look at one of Tupac’s song that I think is the most concentrated on Black and White race relations in America. This song is called Changes, this song was released on his Greatest hits CD in 1998. In this song Tupac addresses this issue he begins the second verse with the lines; â€Å"And still I see no changes all I see is racist faces†¦.† (verse2). This verse is very powerful in that it addresses political racial issues, society’s justice system and how things in society are set up in a way that blacks will remain at the bottom of society and how that is accepted as the norm. He addresses in this verse the American presidency and how we aren’t ready to see a black man occupy the white house. Simple random sampling is the most basic and common type of  sampling method  used in quantitative social science research and in scientific research generally.  The main benefit of the simple random sample is that each member of the population has an equal chance of being chosen for the study. This means that it guarantees that the sample chosen is representative of the population and that the sample is selected in an unbiased way. In turn, the statistical conclusions drawn from the analysis of the sample will ​be valid.​ There are multiple ways of creating a simple random sample. These include the lottery method, using a random number table, using a computer, and sampling with or without replacement. Lottery Method of Sampling The lottery method of creating a simple random sample is exactly what it sounds like. A researcher randomly picks numbers, with each number corresponding to a subject or item, in order to create the sample. To create a sample this way, the researcher must ensure that the numbers are well mixed before selecting the sample population. Using a Random Number Table One of the most convenient ways of creating a simple random sample is to use a random number table. These are commonly found at the back of textbooks on the topics of statistics or research methods. Most random number tables will have as many as 10,000 random numbers. These will be composed of integers between zero and nine and arranged in groups of five. These tables are carefully created to ensure that each number is equally probable, so using it is a way to produce a random sample required for valid research outcomes. To create a simple random sample using a random number table just follow these steps. Number each member of the population 1 to N.Determine the population size and sample size.Select a starting point on the random number table. (The best way to do this is to close your eyes and point randomly onto the page. Whichever number your finger is touching is the number you start with.)Choose a direction in which to read (up to down, left to right, or right to left).Select the first n numbers (however many numbers are in your sample) whose last X digits are between 0 and N. For instance, if N is a 3 digit number, then X would be 3. Put another way, if your population contained 350 people, you would use numbers from the table whose last 3 digits were between 0 and 350. If the number on the table was 23957, you would not use it because the last 3 digits (957) is greater than 350. You would skip this number and move to the next one. If the number is 84301, you would use it and you would select the person in the population who is assigned the number 301.Continue this way through t he table until you have selected your entire sample, whatever your n is. The numbers you selected then correspond to the numbers assigned to the members of your population, and those selected become your sample. Using a Computer In practice, the lottery method of selecting a random sample can be quite burdensome if done by hand. Typically, the population being studied is large and choosing a random sample by hand would be very time-consuming. Instead, there are several computer programs that can assign numbers and select n random numbers quickly and easily. Many can be found online for free. Sampling With Replacement Sampling with replacement is a method of random sampling in which members or items of the population can be chosen more than once for inclusion in the sample. Let’s say we have 100 names each written on a piece of paper. All of those pieces of paper are put into a bowl and mixed up. The researcher picks a name from the bowl, records the information to include that person in the sample, then puts the name back in the bowl, mixes up the names, and selects another piece of paper. The person that was just sampled has the same chance of being selected again. This is known as sampling with replacement. Sampling Without Replacement Sampling without replacement is a method of random sampling in which members or items of the population can only be selected one time for inclusion in the sample. Using the same example above, let’s say we put the 100 pieces of paper in a bowl, mix them up, and randomly select one name to include in the sample. This time, however, we record the information to include that person in the sample and then set that piece of paper aside rather than putting it back into the bowl. Here, each element of the population can only be selected one time.

Abusing these drugs can often lead to addiction and even death. The combination of the two could stop breathing altogether.4 Cough and cold medications are some of the most commonly abused over the counter medications. At high doses, dextromethorphan causes side effects similar to those of the drugs Ketamine, or PCP, by affecting similar sites to the brain. A pressure group is an association that may be formal or informal, whose purpose it is to further the interests of a specific section of society or to promote a particular cause. Pressure groups normally fall under 3 classifications, sectional which represent a specific section of the public, e. g. Age UK, promotion which promotes a particular cause, e. g. Greenpeace and finally dual-function who are a combination of both sectional and promotional, e. g. Countryside Alliance. Pressure groups can also be either insider groups which means that they have a close relationship with the government and have regular consultation with them and also take part in the decision-making process, e. g. National Farmers Union, British Medical Association and Confederation of Business Industries or they can be outsider groups which means they have little to no relationship with the government and influence government through public opinion. There are also aspiring outsider groups like the British Association of Drivers who wish to become insiders. One type of pressure group is a sectional pressure group. These types of groups represent a specific section of society and therefore they are self-interested of their own members. For example, Age UK is a sectional pressure group as it represents the interests of the elderly. Sectional pressure groups are also known as interest groups. Another type of pressure group is promotional groups. These groups seek to promote a particular cause or issues in society. As a result, they claim that they serve the whole community. Promotional pressure groups are also altruistic as the members do not need to be from a specific section of the public. Examples of a promotional pressure group are environmental groups such as Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. One function of a pressure group is that they have an educative function. This is because they help to inform and educate the public as well as the government about politically important issues. For example, Friends of the Earth publicise environmental issues. Another function of a pressure group is that it provides the public with a form of tension release. This is because pressure groups allow people to express their interests and their concerns. For example, the Occupy Movement enabled many people to protest against the excesses of the financial world. One more function of a pressure group is that it provides a less intensive but relative opportunity for political participation. This is because the public can voice their interests without making any major commitments. For example, Taxpayers’ Alliance organise online petitions, enabling people to make their views known without such commitments. One reason why a pressure group is different from a political party is due to the fact that pressure groups only seek to influence the government, they do not seek governmental power unlike political parties. Another difference is that pressure groups are not accountable to their members for their actions whereas political parties are. This is also means that pressure groups can undertake acts of civil disobedience whereas pressure groups cannot. Also pressure groups usually have a narrow range of issues whereas political parties adopt policies across full range of government responsibility. Sectional pressure groups represent a specific section of society whereas promotional pressure groups promote a particular cause or issues. For example, Age UK is a sectional group so represents the interests of the elderly and Greenpeace is a promotional group as it promotes environmental issues. Furthermore, sectional pressure groups are self-interested, in that they are concerned with promoting the best interests of their members whereas promotional pressure groups are altruistic, in that they claim to be serving the interests of the whole community as they often do not have a specific membership. Insider pressure groups operate inside the political system through contacts with ministers, MPs, peers and officials whereas outsider pressure groups have no special links with government. For example, the Confederation of British Industry is an insider pressure group as it is regularly consulted by the government. An example of an outsider group is Greenpeace who operate outside of the political system. In addition to this, insider pressure groups take part in the development of a policy; therefore they can influence decisions directly whereas outsider pressure groups influence decision makers by mobilising public opinion. For example, the National Farmers Union helps shape agriculture policy because it is in insider, whereas outsider groups such as Age UK influence decisions by showing decision-makers that they command widespread interests and in this case, the ‘grey-vote’ It is sometimes difficult to distinguish between a pressure group and a party because both may put candidates for elections. For example in the 2010, election, single-issue parties such as Animals Count and the Senior Citizens Party offered the electorate a few alternative candidates. In addition to this, Anti-abortion group have presented candidates in general elections to publicise their cause. In addition, some pressure groups may be converting themselves to parties. Furthermore, it may also be difficult to distinguish because some single-issue parties resemble pressure groups. For example, UKIP began as an anti-European pressure group, while the Green Party was little more than once an environmental campaign organisation. The BNP is also essentially an anti-immigration organisation. Some pressure groups, notably Trade Unions adopt a wide range of policies and so appear quite similar to parties. Some pressure groups also work so closely with parties and government that it becomes too difficult to distinguish their roles. For example, Unlock Democracy, which campaigns for constitutional reform is closely allied with the Liberal Democrats. Many Trade Unions also have a close link with Labour.

Lennie continues to talk about is dream.
